Encore Etc., Inc. was established in 2001 by Dr. Lorenzo Lepore, a practicing Massachusetts dentist and accomplished musician. In the mid-1990s, Dr. Lepore learned that no sterilization method existed that could safely eradicate pathogens from wind instruments. After committing more than eight years to researching a solution, Dr. Lepore was approved to sterilize wind instruments using an EPA-accredited sterilization process that is widely used for medical instruments.
